Overview
The Carer visa is a permanent visa for eligible applicants who need to care for an Australian relative (or a relative’s family member) with a long-term medical condition, where the person has no reasonable access to care options in Australia.
- Subclass 116: apply outside Australia
- Subclass 836: apply in Australia
Carer visas are also part of the Other Family category and are subject to capping and queueing.
